Remind Yourself to Remember

Experts estimate that the mind thinks between 60,000 – 80,000 thoughts a day. That’s an average of 2500 – 3,300 thoughts per hour.  Our minds are stored with a vast number of memories. Some memories are easier to retrieve than others, and certain memories can create a chain reaction to other memories that you may have forgot about. How can BBC remind you of these significant moments in your life so that you can look back and look forward to documenting new experiences?

Using AR technology, a new memory will appear like this.

Once captured, the APP will
automatically showcase a visually appealing slideshow of the memory.

In addition, sometimes core memories appear for users to capture.

The significance of these memories are that they create a chain reaction to other memories and produce trails for users to follow.

When users select a stored memory, the photo’s EXIF data will appear.

Users are then prompted to share their memory on social media with
the hashtag: #THISISWHERE

The social media posts that use the hashtag will be a part of an amplified out of home campaign.
